Status update and New Visitors

Update on Kaleb!

* Kaleb’s oxygen was bumped back to to 100% during the night (was at 23% when we went to bed) and they have already started working on lowering it.

* His white blood cell count was off so he received antibiotics this morning to reduce risks of an infection.

* Head ultrasound was done around 5pm (hope to find out results by tomorrow)

* Had an x-ray at 1am that showed that is his lungs are enlarged due to the ventilator and it’s making his heart narrow which is causing his blood pressure to go up and down. They are making small changes through out the day to help with this.

* He was given blood products this morning, due to the increase in blood taken during the night.

* Kaleb is responding very well to what the doctors are doing!!!!

Update on Nathan!

* He is having IV issues due to the meds that are being pushed through.  Doctors are looking into adding another port to his PICC line so that he doesn’t need a new IV every 36-48 hours.

* Since he’s stable and his blood pressure is good, the doctor wants to keep everything the same.

* Doctors are lowering his oxygen level and another blood pressure medicine.

This morning Aunt Lori and Aunt Mimi had to head back home Sad smile.  They will be missed around here, they where a great help and made us laugh LOTS!

  1. I wish I was still there with you guys. I miss all of you sooooo much. Just remember that I am always thinking of you guys. I WILL BE BACK SOON!!!!! (It’s ONLY a 17hr drive) I will always treasure the time we spent together. We cried sad tears and happy tears. Knowing that you guys have so many people praying for you, Russ, Nathan, & Kaleb is wonderful. Think positve, keep your heads up high, & pray.
