31 Weeks Today!

We have made it to 31 weeks!!  Now to make these boys behave until week 34 (Nov 19th).  So far they are behaving and are very happy.

At least I am not on strict bed rest!! I can get up and about as much as I want.  I was so happy to hear that, but they won’t let me go shopping on the 3rd floor Sad smile

We had an ultrasound this morning and the Doctor said everything looks good, we will have another one next week for their growth measurements.

I am not liking being stuck in the hospital.  Wishing I could have my puppies up here with me to snuggle that would make things soooooooo much easier Smile.  But they are in excellent hands with Aunt Patty and Aunt Shannon.  I just hope they don’t forget about their mommy.

10/28/2014 update

Well last night was a little rough.  I felt a few contractions and that wasn’t fun at all, but they checked and I wasn’t dilated which was a relief.  They gave me something for the pain and that helped a ton and I was finally able to get a few hours of sleep.  Then Baby B decided to lay on some nerves and caused a  TOOOOOOOOON of pain.  They did an ultrasound and he was just fine so they had me lay on my left side and gave me pain meds and then this mommy slept for hours!!!

I was given my second and last steroid shot to help the boys lungs in case they are born early.  I am no longer on any IVs or monitors 24/7 and can FINALLY eat!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I ate breakfast in record time today and already have my lunch order ready hehe.

Daddy is going to work for a little bit today and I’m just going to hang out here and cook these boys some more.

Time for some bed rest…

Baby A’s water broke around 2am this morning so we rushed down to the hospital (definitely a good time of day if you want to avoid some traffic, but equally as good if you want to see a crazy (drunk?!) driver doing a 360 on Highway 290 and ramming his back end into the cement barrier wall). Both babies are doing great and are quite active.  Mom hasn’t had any big labor pains and has been given the concoction of Magnesium Sulfate to make sure she doesn’t, as well as antibiotics to keep infection at bay since there’s less amniotic fluid protecting Baby A now.  Contractions are very slight, dilation is 0, and we’ll be living here for (hopefully) a few weeks baking ’em a little longer until they’re fully set up.  Mom’s being starved until further notice.  Aunt Jere and Betty stopped by for a visit, it was great to see them!

28 Week Ultrasound Video

Boys are growing at a rapid pace now! Baby Boy A is 2lb 11oz and Baby Boy B is 2ib 14oz (average weight for twins at 28wks is 2lb 2oz)  They sure are loving their cheeseburgers and apples Smile
